Organic Thick Black Soya Sauce

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Most people recommend that salt should not be added to our baby’s food especially when they are below one. I do not add any salt too. However since they often take some bites from my spoon, they somehow recognise that my food is more tastier than theirs, and therefore always refuse to finish their plain porridge.

Finally after a long wait, they are ONE! (birthday just celebrated with annuity investment bought for them as their first birthday present after a brief annuity explanations from a close friend of mine). Well, since they are older now, my mum suggested that I could add some organic black soya sauce so that their porridge ‘taste’  better.

Verdict: Now their porridge taste so much better than my rice. Unlike normal soya sauce we have, these organic ones really taste fantastic.

Where to get: I suppose any organic store nearby to your place.

Price: Rm19.80 (I got another 10% discount to this price)

Tomica butter cookies

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

I baked the butter cookies (see recipe) again for party favors for the kids birthday party using Tomica Car moulds (it is actually vege cutters that comes in a set of 2). The cutters are quite small in size. Since my pastry was very soft, it was surely hard to stamp the cookies on surface.  I had to cut the out and have them nicely arranged on the baking tray before stamping. This way, they surface will dry off and make stamping easier (so that the soft pastry will not stick to the mould). I even baked some Mickey cookies for this coming June Mega Birthday Picnic. Can’t wait to pack them individually again tonight. These butter cookies are really fattening. Just hope I will stop popping them into my stomach otherwise I shall need diet pills to help me loose weight again.

Ensure milk

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Not being blessed with a fair skin like my peers and both my brothers, I had always wanted to look fair when I was young. I applied lots of baby powder on my face, take an umbrella whenever I go under the sun when I was a teenager. Unfortunately nothing works for me.

When I got pregnant with QQ, my mum advised me to drink the Ensure Milk from Abbott (she even bought it for me). It is highly nutritious and expensive soy milk (even suitable for be used as meal replacement). A tin of 1000g cost about RM55. My mum and her friends who drank this milk during their pregnancy swears by it (true enough my youngest brother is the fairest among us, and with a high nose bone, he look very “ang-mor” too :p)

However not everyone can tolerate milk, what’s more soy taste. Unfortunately I could not even accept the taste when I carried QQ (I am very disheartened each time her friend’s parents in school commented on her “tan” skin).

When I carried the twin boys, I love the taste! (be it vanilla, strawberry or chocolate) I am a milk drinker since young and I drink Ensure milk at least 3 cups a day! That is how both my Bumbo boys are blessed with fair, white and super smooth tofu skin although hubby and I looks tan.

Lipodrene for my diet?

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

It has been almost five months since I gave birth to the boys. Unfortunately my stomach now still bulge out, and I look as if I am a 3 months pregnant. During my confinement month, I was able to get the Malay massage lady to come over to help me with the massage. But after my confinement lady was gone, I can hardly have two hours of free time in between to spend for the massage. Furthermore, the twins are still feeding directly from my breasts, it makes me even difficult to get time in between for a massage session. A friend of mine recommended Lipodrene, saying that it might work. I think I ought to try :)

Must I really diet now?

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

I really hate my stomach. Not only my waist line is so huge, I look very pregnant too. I have been breastfeeding my twin boys for almost 5 months now, and my weight does not really gone down much recently. Even if it does, I still need professional help on my bulging tummy. I hope plastic surgery is not the only solution as it really scares me. Anyone can prescribe me with the best diet pill in town?

Still a few more months to go

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

The boys are getting cranky again these days and they have not been taking their nap properly during the day. I am getting worry if they are not getting enough milk from me. Babies should be able to sleep well if they are full and well fed. But my babies cry at all time, nap only for less than 1 hour each session. I am thinking if I should include some supplement into my diet such as vitamins? I have been eating lots of diary products which can also be supplemented by CLA. I hope my supply is enough to last for another month or two since they are going to start on solid soon.

Daily supplement

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Unlike most people, I hardly take supplement. I only take them as required during my pregnancy as prescribed by the doctors. I would prefer natural food than swallowing all the plastic pills into my mouth. However some say supplements really help to boost their health and body. Products like orovo detox may also help to cleanse the body of impurities and blockages that may be keeping us fat or even making us feel sick or sluggish. I think I probably need to change my diet and include some supplements since age is catching up.

Almost back to my pre pregnancy weight

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Although I am still eating like a dinasaur, anyone who sees me comment that I lost lots of weight already. I am, indeed, and this round, I am getting near back to my pre pregnancy weight even quicker than the last pregnancy. Mainly it is because I am lacking of sleep at night since I need to wake up and breastfeed the boys round the clock. The only area that I need to burn away is my bulging tummy. Hope it will go away naturally without having to take the weight loss pills.

No more confinement food

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

I was lucky that during this confinement, I do not experience very heaty body although taking all the heaty food. Since I still have lots of leftover ginger, and my maid cook good confinement food, *yummy yummy*, I still get her to cook some for me once in a while.

But recently I notice zits starting to appear on my face, and I think it is time for me to stop eating those to save my complexion from the acne problem. Otherwise I would have to spend money again for the uneccessary treatment and time to save my complexion!

How to have beautiful skin

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Treating acne isn’t a very simple thing to do, if one is blessed with oily and dry skin like me. Living in a hot and humid country, blessed with so much taste and oily food, it is hard to maintain a clean white and clear skin like people who lives in cold weather. Furthermore, gene inheritance also plays a big part in having good skin. Unfortunately, my family does not have fair and white skin like what most of us would love to have. Therefore I am always looking forward to the best natural acne treatments to help my skin looks better.
