A Pause in baking

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

I have not bake for quite sometime already. There is just no mood to do any baking lately. Although I have my hands full, I must admit I still have time. It is just that I just don’t feel in the mood. As if hubby’s mood is affecting me lately, especially his complaint about his job. If only he is able to find a good one in one of the jobs philadelphia has to offer. If only he can be happier…

Ingredients used as shown above.

Alicia did a demo on how to cook her version of vegetarian “tang hun” (glass noodle in hokkien) without having to soak the glass noodle.

Curious mommies are checking out those recomended ingredients or brands of products to use.

Have not been going to cooking classes since the boys are born. I hope the ladies from the Buddhist society will organise more of such cooking classes in future, in Mrs Yong’s new house with especially in her nice and spacious kitchen with safe exit signs at her home.

Plans for 14th June

Monday, May 4th, 2009

The kids birthday is coming soon and there seems to be 101 things to do. Until today, we have not done any confirmation on the food, allocation for invitation or send out the invitation yet. I suppose we should be making a trip back to Melaka as soon as possible to settle things before it is getting too near to the actual date. List to do:

  1. Doing headcount and sending out invitation
  2. Making order for food (to be confirmed again later)
  3. Searching for the right cake for the twins
  4. Making seating arrangement
  5. Renting stuffs like table, chairs or even a canopy

It would be nice if my mum’s house has a huge compound so that we could make nicer seating arrangement for the guess. If only we can afford nice big house with beautiful gazebos for our kids wedding in future!

Baby dolls tops

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

We have been shopping a lot recently. Since it is the festive season, and CNY is coming, I hope to find some new clothing for accommodate my changed figure. I cannot wear any tight fitting right now as my tummy is too huge and ugly. Luckily Chanel gives me the idea of getting some baby dolls tops which is flair on the waist. Suitable for breastfeeding too. Should have get some discount lingerie since there are lots of sales going on at the moment.

New kitchen

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Still dreaming to get my new kitchen set! Once the boys are grown up, I definitely want to get a nice new kitchen with a huge island for baking. I love big and spacious kitchen as it is easy to move around. Furthermore I can get my kids or invite friends to spend time, eat or bake in my kitchen. Dining in a pretty kitchen surely makes a meal taste better. However nice kitchen fittings like classy bar faucets are really not cheap. Got to start saving money to plan for my new kitchen soon.

Just a matter of bread and butter

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

A friend just came over to look at the twins a couple of weeks ago. Elvie who was working in a casino in Macau for the past 6 months, has actually decided to quit her job to come back to be with her family. Although her job position and salary was good, it is indeed very bored to stay alone apart from her family. Not only she misses her husband, she misses her mum a lot too. If not for her family, she would have taken another job at ahotel in las vegas that has promise a better future and a better salary.

Jane’s Nestum cake

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

My friend Jane just came over this morning to collect the baking powder from me. And guess what, she just called to tell me that her Nestum cake is ready! She will be sending it over to us soon, YAHOO!!!!!

I really respect her for being able to do so much while taking care of 1 toddler and 1 baby all by herself. Apart from having to clean her apartment and manage all the household during the weekends, she still got time to bake!

I think I better get my own oven soon and install an auto air conditioning in the kitchen so that I’ll be able to bake too in the hot afternoon, when my kids take their nap.

Am waiting to taste the cake, *yum yum*!!

Live with greens

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Ever since my tummy gets bigger, I can hardly walk for long. So every time, I would have to get my dear friend, Seet to do the marketing for me.

Since hubby is around and my girl got up so early today, we managed to go for a good breakfast and do some light marketing at the market. With the price hike on everything, especially the pork and meat, we bought so much vegetables and fruits since we are eating more vegetables now. Hope my children would love to consume more green in future so that they will not rely on acne solutions like their mum did in her teenage years.

A cake/jewellery/twins for hubby

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

June is the big month for us. Hubby birthday is in June, so is my girl. If our twins come out in June, this mean four out of five family members has got the same birthday in the same month. As my girl is now in pre-school, she would surely enjoy a birthday celebration in school rather than with us. As for hubby, I did not plan anything special for him in the past. All we did is just to get him a birthday cake (in fact a cake that I love to eat!)

Wonder if our boys are going to arrive exactly on the birthday this time. It would be a really precious present to him, even more precious than the most expensive men’s jewelry on earth!

What to do after dinner

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Hubby comes home quite early each night so we usually have dinner together. Usually after dinner, he will catch the evening news on TV while entertain his little girl. Poor Mummy will prefer to do the dishes as I am a quicker person as compare to hubby.

Recently our poor TV broke down so they do not have the luxury anymore. Now hubby plan to get another new TV, probably a flat screen with home theater seating once our financial is stable again. I only laugh at his suggestion thinking that he would not have time to watch TV anymore once our new babies arrive!
