Not being blessed with a fair skin like my peers and both my brothers, I had always wanted to look fair when I was young. I applied lots of baby powder on my face, take an umbrella whenever I go under the sun when I was a teenager. Unfortunately nothing works for me.

When I got pregnant with QQ, my mum advised me to drink the Ensure Milk from Abbott (she even bought it for me). It is highly nutritious and expensive soy milk (even suitable for be used as meal replacement). A tin of 1000g cost about RM55. My mum and her friends who drank this milk during their pregnancy swears by it (true enough my youngest brother is the fairest among us, and with a high nose bone, he look very “ang-mor” too :p)

However not everyone can tolerate milk, what’s more soy taste. Unfortunately I could not even accept the taste when I carried QQ (I am very disheartened each time her friend’s parents in school commented on her “tan” skin).

When I carried the twin boys, I love the taste! (be it vanilla, strawberry or chocolate) I am a milk drinker since young and I drink Ensure milk at least 3 cups a day! That is how both my Bumbo boys are blessed with fair, white and super smooth tofu skin although hubby and I looks tan.

I know it is really bad for her throat as she has been coughing a lot too. I think it has to do with her diet although we try not to give in to her. I just hope she would not get acne problem that requires expensive acne treatment like me when she goes into her teenage years.

Running an online business is surely convenient and easy today. However the business owner must be at least computer save at a very basic point, to manage her site, entertain to queries and market her product online.

I am lucky to have good working experience with computer in my previous job. At least documentation is not a problem. With the current blogging activities, I do gain a lot of experience, especially with the online marketing. As long as my computer is working well with a good memory, the line is active and stable, I would be able to make some income from home easily.

I get easily tempted when I search cakes online for my girl’s coming birthday, which is in another weeks time. It was my dream to set up an online bakery shop to sell delicacy for the babies on their full moon celebration, birthday occasions and other happy celebration. As my hands will be tied with the soon arrival of twins, my plan will have to put on hold for at least a few more years. Wonder I would still hold on to my dream to bake say four years later. Or I might go into sales to be a futures broker since I am also good in sales!

Durian is extremely expensive these days. After reading some blogs about eating durian, today we bought one from the market just to fulfill my wish before giving birth. It cost 20bucks just for a durian as it is not the season of the fruits yet.

Normally when it is cheap, we can easily get them with only 10bucks for 3 big fruits! Sometimes we can even get seven of the smaller village durians which taste really original and good. However eating too much of these king of fruits can be over heaty not to mention the high calorie intake. I think the Leptovox is going to be a good buy as it contains only the natural ingredients that can even help the weight loss management.

Inspired by a blogger (forgot which blog) the other day, I was tempted to cook this simple dish too, for our dinner yesterday.

Instead of cooking a few dishes to go with plain white rice, I basically just make a simple white rice and fried them fragrant with some eggs, minced meat, carrot and kei chi. To make the dish more presentable and colourful, all I had to do is just to boil the broccoli and fresh cut some tomatoes to go with the oily rice.

Even though look simple, the fried rice can be quite oily as well. Although my girl loves this dish, it is not healthy to eat this frequently. Otherwise hubby and I would have to go for weight loss program very soon!

I believe most of us love the mashed potato from KFC. It has been one of my favourite dish too. Although simple dish like this is easy to make, it can actually be quite tedious to make this at this at home (especially the yummy sauce).

Luckily I found this in one of our supermarket. Individually packed and comes in the powder form, this mashed potat0 come with a few flavour. What you have to do is just to pour it inside a bowl, adding boiling water up to the level of a measurement cup that comes along, you will get a nice hot creamy mashed potato.

Wonder great focus in eating and cooking can really help some people to get on faster with their addiction treatment? I see this in one of the rehabilitation home here where most of them enjoy cooking each day for their meal.

While I was having dinner with my hubby just now, the topic of cooking and baking came arise. While I love to explore on cooking and now baking, my hubby is the one who would prefer to pay for his dish and have his meal outside. Since I am no longer working, now that I have all the time in the day to try out all my favourite recipes to cook and bake. Still an amateur baker at the moment, I could now easily comprehend the tips and basic skill of baking with just a book. If you see some of my recent baking projects, you would even think they are creations of some expert bakers!

I do wish to learn more about baking, and most important, decorating. In food and beverage, it is decorating that sells! If you realise, it is the décor that sells the food, second comes the taste. I really wish to enrol myself more into some baking and cooking course, because I know it would take me a step further, enhancing the basic skill and most important of all, interest that I already have.

With Culinary Academy of California, I can even turn my passion into a business. They provide trainings from chefs, culinary professionals, using the latest equipment and techniques. It is very important to get hands-on learning in school, so that we could absorb the method and skill fully.

For my dear friends who are currently residing in Paris, you might want to check out with the Hospitality Institute of Chicago for French cooking techniques. If you are very into baking, check out with California Culinary Arts School where it offers you Le Cordon Bleu training and education all you need to be the best in culinary arts, pastry and baking arts.
