New camera

My camera is starting to malfunction now. Does that mean I should be getting a new camera?
Although the current one is still working well and the micro sd is great, I no longer could turn the button to the video function. It would be wasted if I could not take the video of the kids anymore. Perhaps I should be getting a new camera, since there are many great models out there. Time to read more into what’s available in the market right now
