Can food too bland?

Believe or not, even my SIL’s pet has better meal than I. She only feeds her cat with rice and meat, instead of bones. Since there is no one to take care of her pet, she cannot travel unless her daughter is back at home. Although another SIL could come over sometimes and feed the cat can food from the cat supplies, that stupid cat just would not eat it. I guess it must taste bland unlike home cook meal, which taste much better than a pinch of salt. Salt for her pet? Even cats are smart huh?
